A while back I mentioned exercise and blogging and promised that I would start a thread documenting how my exercise is going for a forthcoming run. I've been kind of busy the last few weeks so haven't done that much but I did find time for a run today, so here goes... I'll start now.

The goal... a 14 mile "race" in just under 3 weeks from now. I would like to try and do it in under 2 hours but that could be a tall order.

Slightly-off-topic:

Would you like me to make this a sticky?

I don't mind... I'll post to it regularly so it should always be close to the top. I'll leave it up to you. Smile

Taking a backward step today... one of my clients called in for a meeting, armed with some cream cakes. I've had one Embarassed and passed the rest on to Trev.

2nd March: ran 1 mile to football, played for an hour, and then ran one mile back. I'm feeling as though I have "an extra yard" in football nowadays...

Well, I have his build... Smile

Seriously, I feel like I'm getting to a reasonable level of fitness quite quickly. 14 miles is going to be a struggle still, and I don't think I'm likely to complete it within 2 hours (2h 15m would be more realistic - if everything goes to plan), but we'll see. It's quite a hilly course.

3rd March

No exercise today (other than a bit of walking). My right Achilles is giving me a little bit of discomfort today. I hope this isn't going to be a problem. Confused
