I don't wish this to sound rude but I really don't like the new look of these forums. I much prefer the old version and to have things more akin to the phpBB default format. It took me about 10 minutes to find the "post new topic" link (even though I know it's quite large).

What's the reason for the change?

I'm not fond of the big google-ads box... kinda overshadowing the forums.

Perhaps the most recent posts should rather go in that box?

Yeah, it's very ad-orientated. I can understand the desire to place ads everywhere to generate income, but this is just going to put people off joining the community and actually do the reverse.

I'm also finding that I can't easily do certain things that I used to be able to do. For instance, when I went to http://forum.ohcnetwork.com/search.php?search_id=egosearch on the old version, I could see who the latest poster was (and be easily able to tell if someone had replied to my message in the thread). I can no longer do that now.

I really would appreciate a response. I'm completely put off visiting this place if this design is to stay. It's just not as usable.
