I just thought about this. Can one get more productivity when he/she is relaxed?

I don't see why not? I have a feeling that stress clouds the thinking. Makes you rush... and with that comes errors... and more stress... and more errors. From a programming point of view, I definitely get more productivity without stress. I can think clearer, my code is neater, and there's less debugging at the end.

I work on weekends, and I often find that I get a lot of productivity on weekends. There are various reasons, but I think one of reasons is that I am less stressed. I am relaxed and I am putting less pressure on myself. I wanted to ask if other people have similar experience.

You've got more chances of dropping your keys, or even breaking the key in the lock if you're rushing... and under stress. If you're relaxed, you can make better decisions, think clearer and thus I feel more productive.

The Bourne Supremacy and
The Bourne Identity. Jason Bourne is the hero in these movies, and one of things that make him special is that, when he is in danger, when he faces great difficulty, he becomes very calm. This enables him to adapt to the given environment and finds the most effective solution to various problems that he needs to solve. He also finds his solution very fast. The way in which Jason Bourne manages his stress (or elimination of his stress) is pretty extraordinary.

We often hear people saying "I am so busy" and losing sense of where they are. Jason Bourne makes a great contrast.
