My sister was diagnosed with MAC about 4 years ago at the age of 26. The doctor told her that her lungs had the apperence of someone in thier 80's. She is not HIV positive and was told that it was not dessimated. Only her right lung was affected at the time. She began treatment with a drug regimine but this only went on for a bout a year. Since then she has not been under treatment of any sort. Recently she has had her chest x-rayed and was told that it has now spread over to her left lung. Does this mean that it is now dessimated? What is the life expenctcy for someone who is untreated? Where can I find more info concerning non-hiv related MAC?

Older sister or younger? Interesting explanation. Good reasoning. I somehow though she had. Indeed this mean that it is now dessimated does. Life is the opposite of death.

Given that this seems to be have been a genuine enquiry, do you think that maybe there should be some kind of warning to users of forum that Monica is just a bot?

Maybe you could highlight it here:

Or in the description for the forum on the Forum Index?
