Researchers at Duke University Medical Center have found that acupuncture is more effective than leading medication at reducing nausea and vomiting after major breast surgery. There is still something mysterious about Acupuncture, but it appears that it is gaining much popularity and many researchers are taking the alternative therapy quite seriously.

Its true that some sections of the medical profession is taking alternative therapies seriously but there is still deep seated scepticism in the medical establishment about alternative therapies.

The major drug companies who cater to the MD's are very against alternative medicine and treatments.

Probably most MDs are slowly adapting.
