I stayed at some place and the place had very harsh water. My skin got really dry and itchy and I scratched(I was so careless). That turned into rash. The part that got rash at first, my stomach area, is healing, but I have rash on a couple of different parts of my body. What's the best way to treat skin rash? Also what are the ways to prevent skin rash?

How exactly is the rash manifesting, iRule? Is it 'just' dry skin, or are there pimples, pustules or something similar? Are you sure it was the water that has caused it? Rashes on the skin are usually something inside that's trying (& succeeding!) to get out. Either physically or emotionally. What else was happening when you first got this rash? What other body parts have it?

(For a start, put some anti-histamine type of lotion on it to stop the itching.)

Yes, pimple/pustule-ish.

Water/soap/dry weather, I believe.

Skin got so dry like it's so white. Also it was so itchy.

Arms, left arm in particular. Knees, especially left knee.

Is it just a rash? Have you had it diagnosed?

I had a skin fungus not so long ago (Pityriasis rosea) and it needed my doctor to prescribe something to get rid of it.

Are you sure you're not developing psoriasis, iRule?

Now you guys are telling me that I have some serious disease, but ok, here are some facts:

1. I think I had Injury to the skin.
2. It's possible that I had some types of infection.
3. I'm afraid that I may have had reaction to certain drugs; in particular, nicotine. After I stayed away from smoking for 2+ years, I picked up last month for various reasons. I was smoking for about 3 weeks, though I haven't smoked for the last several days. Maybe this was bad.

I doubt it's serious but the best thing would be to get it checked by someone that's qualified.

I think you are right. BTW, isn't psoriasis a disease that you have for many years, consequently, it is recurring?

Funny, I was just reading that a couple of minutes ago. Anyway, here are some facts about Psoriasis.

(*) Psoriasis is a genetic disease. A family association exists in one out of three cases.
(*) It often appears between ages 15 and 35, but it can develop at any age.
(*) About 10 percent to 15 percent of those with psoriasis get it before age 10, and occasionally it appears in infancy.
(*) Psoriasis is not contagious—no one can "catch" it from another person.

That'll be because we both use Google.com. Demonstrates the power of being #1. Wink

Off-topic:

MSN just released beta release of its new search engine, but I guess not many people are using it.

No, they still have a lot of catching up to do. I like the look of the results, but Google is too established (particularly with AdWords/AdSense) that MSN have some serious work to do. It is a gap that I think they are capable of closing though.

I just checked it, and it appears that the search engine is unavailable now. That's so weak. I want to check this query, when SE becomes available again. I thought this forum had pretty good ranking, but I'll find out ...

I wonder if that is because it's no longer in beta? Perhaps you need to go here.

I don't see you on the first page, I'm afraid. We make the first page with our sport forum and travel forum, but not the business one. Confused
