According to this article from The Courier-Journal.com,
two thirds of Kentucky adults are either overweight or obese. The problem is not getting any better; in fact, today's children are expected to live shorter than their parents. While there is great advancement in medical science, general healthcare in the state is going backward. As we watch news and read papers about medical science, we are all excited about what could be possible 1 year from now, 5 years from now, but disastrous healthcare situation in Kentucky puts us in perspective and makes us think about what advancement in medical science really means.

If I understand correctly, one third of Americans are over weight. That's bad enough. Two thirds is a very serious problem and this should be recognized as one of the most serious problems in the nation. Why hasn't this been reported more widely?

Do they really eat so much chicken? Do they produce so many chickens in Kentucky?
