Hi
I would urge anyone to try hopi ear treatment, I have had a couple of courses of these because my hearing was not quite as goodas it should have been, i.e. needing to turn up the TV and annoying my OH.
Essentially a hollow candle is used and the 'chimney' effect actually draws very deep hardened old wax from deep within the ear, the hot vapours penetrate the ear and loosen the wax, the chimney effect draws out the wax. It is a fantastic treatment, combine this with a massage of the sinuses and it really clears the head.

Any side-effects?
I mean, I'm generally of the opinion that the reason for having earwax in the first place is for something other than just to irritate.
So would there not be any possible negative effects of reducing the amount to perhaps less that what is supposed to be there?

Hi
I have experienced no side effects at all, the purpose of having this done is really to elleviate problems of build up of wax, like in my case it helped heighten my sense of hearing.

Perhaps not immediate, but what about long-term with regular such treatments?

Hi
I only have it done about every 6 months or so I think it should do me no harm.

Also, I usually have about 3 sessions over 6 weeks when I have a course of treatments

I'm just sceptical about most things... as those here will know me well for...
I basically dont take medication unless my body's clearly losing a battle (which hardly ever happens... I can't actually remember a time that it did)
And I don't visit doctors, unless both my body and medication seems to be failing after a while.
So maybe I see a doc once in five years or so...
I don't get sick easily, and when I do, like with whatever flu you want to throw at me (martian & venusian inclusive), I usually kick it in 8 - 12 hours. A really bad one might last a day and a half.
Cuts don't go septic, and I hardly bleed, etc.
I'm not aerobically fit by any means, am a smoker, and I eat what I want but don't get fat, although I do walk plenty!!!
So I have come to suspect that by letting my body deal with life, it has become rather good at it.
Do you think that this is possible? Perhaps like a well-practiced boxer would be better in the ring than an "armchair boxer" type of thing?
