Should you do it and what are the consequences if you do?

Probably you shouldn't. Doing light exercise like walking around is ok, but lifting weight and stuff should be avoided, IMO. Exercising itself isn't that bad, but taking shower afterward can get you really sick.

The rule of thumb that I've heard is that if your symtoms are above the neck, it's probably ok to do light exercise - below the neck (body aches, stomach, lungs) you should rest in bed.

i'd take it with a grain of salt, but might help.

I heard somewhere it's quite a strain on the heart. So best to rather rest it out & resume once well again. I think it has something to do with the valves of the heart? Let me ask our resident doctor Monica here! Laughing

Okay. I've asked Dr. Monica, and it is basically her professional opinion that she's happy for me. I hope this sheds some more light on the matter. If you're still unsure, just ask me, and I'll forward your questions back to her at our next session.

Thanks. Very Happy

She is also seemingly quite religious. I never previously knew that about Monica.

She's spiritual. She believes in the existence of higher spirit. She also has good taste in movies, and she watches a lot of movies that challenge one's mind.

I don't do cardio, but I'll do some arm work. This gives me a bit of an energy boost, and helps me clear my sinuses

just don't sneeze on any of the equipment...

bench press is easy
say my max is 200 pounds. when I have a cold, I'll do 150.

I don't have the full energy, but it still feels like I'm pushing it

or some different dumbell routines, but no full-body
